today

Was an interesting day; a birthday lunch, a funeral and a baby shower.A day full of celebration!

And you know it's going to be a great day when your client shows up driving one of these

I signed up for the Fresh Mini Quilt Club again. I also ordered one of my favorite patterns from the last round(I didn't join). I think this was May's block. Anyways, I cut this out June 1st and just finished the other night. Did I mention it's a mini quilt and only 24x24 square? We are just too busy!

Wonder how long it will take me to get it quilted lol.

non-stop

Life has been full speed ahead here the past few weeks. The school year is almost at the end(thank goodness!). We all found it a hard year this year and are happy to see it end. I have decided to attempt to take most of the summer off so have been working fulltime to clear my schedule as much as possible to make that happen. And with all the travelling I've done; I was a wee bit behind to begin with lol.

As a result, it has been weeks since I have found a moment to sew. This week has been the first week in what feels like forever since I have been home for an evening(and I've been home for 2 straight!) so it seemed perfect timing to get back into my sewing room.

I finally got my envelope blocks sewn together.

I was even able to create a table runner from the remaining blocks.

The other night I got the backing ready for boy2's quilt that I started all the way back in May. That is getting quilted next week.

I also added a border to the top and bottom of my summer quilt.

I bought the fabric for this way back in the summer of 2012. Got it pieced summer of 2013 and will finally get it quilted summer of 2014 lol!

And last night I started a wee little something just for me.

Sure feels good to be back!

quilt monday

I was going through my stash of quilts when I realized I lied last week. I have one more Lily&Will quilt lol!

quilted with Cotton Candy

This one literally used up the last of my bits and pieces. And the last little bits went to make a pieced binding that brings the fabrics all together.

And I'll say it again, I absolutely adore this line. Oh please, please bring it back!!

Than maybe I'll make myself a quilt with it lol.

I had a perfect piece of green flannel to back this with; it goes so well with the fabrics.

And now I'll go and get the binding finally finished!

quilt monday

The last of many Lily&Will baby quilts. Sadly it is also the end of my stash of this line(sob).

This just might be my favorite of all the baby quilts I have made with these fabrics. I think I've said that every time haven't I? lol

Quilted with Cotton Candy
I backed it with a fun butterfly flannel.

I had a home planned for this quilt. Than the mommy surprised me and had a boy instead lol. So onto PlanB.

wedding season

I've been keeping busy doing a bunch of wedding quilts lately. Here's a few of them.

Faith made this lovely quilt for her daughter's upcoming wedding.

Quilted with Linna's Charm

Absolutely love this fabric line.

Joyce made this stunner.

Quilted with Splat
Love, love and LOVE

This lovely Swoon by Delinda

Quilted with Flirtatious

Now this next quilt, Marie wanted to do a queen size jelly roll race quilt. Once she pieced the top, she didn't like it. So she cut the whole thing apart, added a solid and came up with this.

Quilted with Wild at Heart

Such a stunner.
