quilt monday

sorry for the delay in posting, had no internet connection since yesterday afternoon! i was going into heart failure lol!!

Christmas card pile-up

i've made pretty good headway. have 25 cards completed, i think i need 100 this year. i still have to do my Christmas card list; maybe tonight during the Amazing Race

so here are two to show you now. i've gone with more traditional colors this year, mostly red and green cards. this is my favorite so far. i may add some gold brads to it, i think its missing something. i edged the Christmas tree with red ink and sponged gold ink all over the stamped image to just give it a bit more something

and don't forget, Tempting Tuesday is this coming Tuesday!!

warm up cards

do they count if i stamped the images a month ago? lol!

shopping trip

and i bought a TON of paper at a paper sale yesterday( i really really need to get my Christmas cards done this weekend!) i also finally got jammybella and a lovely Rhonna Farrer stamp for $1.39!

now to start my Christmas cards....

this little piece

is going to save me and get my longarm back up and running. Jim installed it last night, i did a few test runs and Lois(my machine lol) is running the best she has. now mom can have her machine back and i can get caught up on mine!

and with that, it's off to work i go!!

card friday

for my sister in law. another one that i am thrilled with

for Kai

every year the Vancouver Canucks hockey team has done a charity dinner. for the past few years, my dad has been lucky enough to attend. and i'm the lucky one who gets to add whichever players autographs to my growing collection that he brings home.

this year dad was able to get Markus Naslunds autograph. so Kai, this is for you!

good morning :)

here's another quilt i finished off for a customer on Tuesday. loved the brushed cottons in this. i should have taken a picture of the gorgeous flannel backing. it was a mountain scene and just lovely

quick card

for my nephew. i got ink on the edge of the stamp(argh. i wasn't paying attention) so i put the little gift on to cover up the worst of it. and i could not get the 3 to stamp right, it was either upside down or backwards *sigh* lol

wordless wednesday

back to work

today. lost a whole week of work due to me being sick so am going to be back logged for a few days.

i love the piano key borders on this quilt. and the quilter sewed them all onto muslin first, this was a very square quilt!

and i have to admit it, i wasn't aware it was a log cabin quilt until i went to take a picture of it lol!!

uninspired

i have had zero ambition to start on my Christmas cards, not a good thing less than 6 weeks before the big day!

i did play around in my stamping room today hoping to get inspired and no real luck. i played with my new glue pad i got for my birthday-i think the gold is too bright. regardless, it does nothing for me

i did finish watercoloring some snowmen i stamped last week-love this stamp. i may have to get one for myself

quilt monday

sorry for the lumpy quilt in the picture-had two cats underneath who were not co-operating lol

home sick

and just in time for the long weekend lol. i guess it is a blessing in disguise, i really need a few days to just relax!

so today i worked a bit on the placemats i'm making my sister in law for her birthday. there is a total of 8 and there will be a fish appliqued in the lighter square. i haven't figured out how i will quilt these yet. they get sewn together right sides together than turned right-side out. any suggestions?
