and just in time for the long weekend lol. i guess it is a blessing in disguise, i really need a few days to just relax!
so today i worked a bit on the placemats i'm making my sister in law for her birthday. there is a total of 8 and there will be a fish appliqued in the lighter square. i haven't figured out how i will quilt these yet. they get sewn together right sides together than turned right-side out. any suggestions?

Pretty fabric - how about stitch in the ditch on the checkerboard, echo around the fish and a loopy meander on the large portion of the placemat?
You could quilt a fish on the large portion of the placemat....? I like the look of it so far!
