quilt monday

More Christmas!

I made a few of these runners as gifts last year but I wanted one for myself that would be bigger. I finished it up in November and didn't actually get it quilted until Christmas Eve. And the binding didn't go on until New Years lol.

I absolutely love how it turned out.

And these fabrics.

I went with a feather panto instead of Christmas.

And the black and silver binding....

And Gizmo likes it too.

Happy Monday!

odds and ends

It has been waaaaaay too long since I've shown off some client quilts.
Enjoy!

Marianne did this quilt out of ties, isn't it fantastic?

We kept the quilting simple and went with a really large meander.

This was a fun one.
Susan was lucky to get it back ;)

This is easily my favourite Canada150 quilt I have seen.

quilt monday

First off, sorry for the terrible pictures. We went to a wedding in the wilderness and thought I could get pics of the quilt there but it was so dusty I didn't dare lay the quilt down or hold it up and risk getting it dirty. Now onto the quilt!

I made lots of quilts similar to this in 2018.
So quick and the simplicity works.
Sometimes simpler is really better.

The bride's favourite colour is yellow and I have a thing for yellow and grey. This could not have worked out better.

I used shadowprints to soften up the solidness.
And the quilting.....

quilted with HubbyLove

I will admit I was not entirely in love with the backing but the choices were limited and my time was short.

Simple and elegant.

I adore how this turned out.

Happy Monday.

holiday sewing

I was spoiled at Christmas and got a great quilt kit and a loverly stack of fat quarters.

Got my January truenorth blocks done on time.

Christmas themed raspberry kiss blocks.

And fantastically simple pink 4patches.

I also finished up another ModCharms quilt for Boy 3.

I'm calling it a successful holiday.

quilt monday

Hello! Happy 2019!

I know fall was a long time ago but I found this runner hiding when I put away the Christmas decorations.

How cute is this?
I'm not a big halloween fan and yet this ended up in halloween colours.

These little pumpkins.

I kept the quilting simple and did a meander.

And spiced things up with a fun black print binding.

And had just enough of the pumpkin fabric for the backing.
I love when that works out.

Happy Monday :)
