bloggers beware!!

**Good news! The website has been taken down!**

I received an Instagram message from PoppyPrint last night informing me that a website, quiltpatternspro(I am NOT linking them) had stolen yesterday's QuiltMonday post.

After doing some checking, I discovered that the website has been stealing my content since earlier this year. And I'm not the only one.

The Bitchy Stitcher sounded the alarm yesterday and posted this post on what you can do if you have been reposted. What's funny is the website has reposted her complaint post :)

So please, check the site if your blog is listed. If so, you can issue a complaint to GoDaddy.com(or click the link here).

whew!

A BIG thank you to Enom who had my domain name still current. Everything will be back to normal in a few hours. What a relief!

help?!?!

My blog domain is about to expire. I've been trying to renew it and Google keeps telling me that I need a pin number to activitate my account. When I go to create a pin, it tells me I'm not allowed. eek!! HELP!!!

EDITED TO ADD

if this blog dies, you will find me at quiltnutcreations.blogspot.com!!

google reader

As you may have heard, Google reader is sadly on it's way out :(. I found what seems to be, a pretty good alternative, bloglovin. You can sign up to follow my blog with the button in my sidebar.

Now I'm back to moving all my followed blogs over from GR to bloglovin. I think I follow too many blogs :p

And one question, anyone know if Google Friends Connect is going to be gone too?

playtime

Thank you so much for all the well-wishes on Monday's post. I am feeling better and got back to work this week, much to my clients relief lol. Better enough that I got to spend some time puttering in my sewing room last night and made another jelly roll race quilt.

I thought this was In Color but can't find it on Moda's  website.
It's a bright one!

And I got started, and finished a birthday present for a special birthday I missed earlier in the week.

And the winner of my extra little wall hanging is.....

Please email me your mailing info and I'll get that off to you.

To the rest of my followers, thanx so much!!

i was planning on blogging today

I took bunches of photos yesterday of some newly finished goodies, but this morning, I couldn't find my camera  cord.

Not a big deal, I'll use my not so trusty card reader to do my pictures. That's when I discovered this

This can not be good.

The missing piece? It's stuck inside here.

No amount of shaking, jiggling etc will dislodge the piece. I can see it in there but I can't reach it. But let's not panic.Time to try the card reader.

No such luck.

I couldn't even get the card inside.

I will admit to starting to think it's time to start panicking. But let's grab the back-up camera and try that.

looks like it's time to redo the mani

And good news!
The card fit. And I can see my pictures.

I just can't get them off.

PS-all photo's taken with my cell phone.
And yes, I can still use my camera, I just can't store more than 10pics in the camera memory.

PPS-the missing camera cord? discovered buried in the basket with the Wii remotes.

winner winner

The winner of autumn wall hanging pattern is....
Colleen G!

Thanx to all that entered!

And just an fyi, I've moved my blog to quiltnutcreations.com. You should be automatically directed, if not, please change your bookmarks. I've also been fiddling with my blog the past few days; so it's going to continue looking a wee bit wonky for the next few until I get decided on what I'm actually going to stick with lol. So please be patient; thanx!

oh the horrors!

I was getting tomorrow's Wordless Wednesday post ready(I have to work tomorrow and wanted it up before I go) and I got the dreaded message from Blogger that I had exceeded my picture quota-ACK!

So I broke out Jim's credit card(thanx hunny!) and bought some more storage space. And now I have to wait up to 24hours to post any pictures. But at least I will be able too!

P.S: Since many are asking, I paid $5us for 20GB of photo storage. Blogger says that's about 10,000 pictures. And it was the cheapest. That is $5/year by the way.
I've been blogging for just over 4 years so there you go :)

a suggestion to my readers

I try and reply to everyone's comments but occasionally I get a blogger who I am unable to reply too because their blogger settings are set to no-comment reply @ whatever the email blogger is using.

So here's a tip from Allison at Stampin' When I Can

More than once, I have seen posts out there in blog-o-land about some frustration in responding to reader comments. Just in case you didn't know, if you don't set up your profile to display your e-mail address, the blogger cannot answer your question or thank you for your comments. To ensure that bloggers can communicate with you, do the following...

1. From your Blogger dashboard, click Edit Profile.

2. When the Edit User Profile page displays, ensure that the checkbox "Show my email address" is selected.
3. Under the Identity header, in the Email Address field, enter your email address.
4. Click Save Profile (all the way down at the bottom of the page).

i gave into peer pressure

Have you see the quilt-a-thon happening over at the Old Red Barn Co?(details here) I had debated about joining but than I couldn't decide on fabric so I passed.

But than tonight Cindy and I went to our local Fabricland to check out a sale and I found the most fabulous fabric. And since I found the 12 fabrics I needed for the quilt-a-thon, they followed me home.

And because I can't do anything halfway(or the way I'm supposed too lol) I bought a full meter of each fabric. My plan is to double the size of the quilt and, fingers crossed, it will be big enough for our bed lol.

Now to get caught up

a great day today

Sunday was Cindy's birthday so today, Madelyn, Sarah, Andrea, Jill and I surprised Cindy with lunch at a local teahouse. With 6 bloggers at the table, there was allot of cameras lol. And this is the only pictures I took; of my super yummy lunch. Take a peek at the other blogs and hopefully someone else has posted their pictures

Thanx to everyone for coming out and celebrating Cindy's birthday!
