one, two, three and four

Yes I am back. Thanks to all of you for your support. Surgery ended up being not as serious as it should have been(long story but that is the gist of it) As a result, my dr is pursuing other possibilities of what has been causing me constant pain for the past 10 weeks. The pain is bad enough that I haven't been sleeping and I have a very hard time doing things as simple as picking things up off the floor and sitting down. But I have great faith in my dr(he really is fantastic) that we will get this figured out soon!

Today was my first day back to work and I realize tonight, I did too much lol. I started these quilts last week and got 2.5 of them done. Finished them off today and very happy how they turned out-and that I didn't have to call my customer for an extension!

All four were quilted with Daises Galore

tempting tuesday!!

taking a blogging break

The health problem I posted about in August hasn't been solved. I am scheduled for emergency surgery Saturday morning. It is only day surgery but I don't know when i will feel up to posting again. Hopefully not too long!

And a quick peek at my finished pumpkin wall hanging too. I am so in love with this quilt!

headbanging

That is the perfect description of my last two days of work. You know the days were people ask the dumbest questions(seriously, the answer was RIGHT THERE the entire time) or just don't seem to get it? That's what I've been dealing with.

Top that off with a quilt I was working on today(not the one that is pictured in this post!), when I got to my last row of it, I discovered that an entire seam(okay, about 8 inches of it) wasn't sewn together! ARGH! And this is one of four quilts for this customer, another one of them she had pinned, and than ditched half the quilt! So both got pulled off the machine and I'll worry about them next week lol!!

I quilted this pretty in purple quilt last week. Was lucky enough to hit a sunny day so I could get a picture of it outside. Quilted with Daisies Galore

By the way, did you know there is only 3 MONTHS until Christmas???

how i spent today

I love this topper. I Can't wait to quilt it and get it on the coffee table. I found the outer border fabric for $4/meter at a clearance and it was just perfect for this quilt

wordless wednesday

shopping therapy

I got this grapevine gourd and light up pumpkin on Wednesday when I had a shopping day with my friend Karen-I absolutely LOVE the pumpkin(I truly do have a pumpkin obsession)

And on Saturday, Cindy and I went on another shopping day. We stopped at the Mt. Lehman fall fair, Micheal's and at an open house at Country Quilts(if you love primitive country quilting and decorating, that is the site for you!) I broke my no new Christmas stamps vow at Micheal's. All their stamps are 40% off this week and when I saw Snoopy, I couldn't resist! I also found the cute bell in their $1.50 bins so I grabbed a few of them for Christmas too(and I'll probably put them away and forget about them until AFTER Christmas lol)

I got the chicken quilt pattern(another obsession) at Country Quilts. I will have to make an appointment to go back to Cheryl's store soon, I could have spent waaaaay more money there-she has fantastic goodies!

I have finally finished the Buggy Barn quilt that i started in January 2007!

I was going to completely custom quilt it but I chickened out. I just wanted to get it done. I'm not overly thrilled with the quilt-I wish I had gone with a lighter thread and I regret not customizing it but it is done and I will learn to love it lol

Quilted with Flirtatious

sweetheart

Was funny quilting a Valentine's Day quilt when it is close to 30degrees outside. This is another one for Hamels Quilt Store-have you checked out their online store? Great prices and selection.

I quilted this with one of my favorite patterns, Daisies Galore

charity quilts

A friend of my mom's makes lots of charity quilts for an orphanage in the Ukraine and also a young mom's program in her town. We quilt some of the quilts she does for free. Today I had two to do. The snail trail quilt was quilted with Chaos

The second quilt i used a floral meander on.

I love this. Quilted with Shooting Stars With the boys all in school, my productivity has really increased. Remember how I had posted that I was basically booked up for longarming until October? I've cleared almost my entire schedule in the past 2 weeks! And yes, that means I have lots to show you lol!

i couldn't resist

I truly have a pumpkin addiction

FYI, when you cut out an appliqué quilt-iron it down right away. Don't leave it for over a week on your ironing board so a 4 legged helper can mess up all your pieces so when you go to iron it down, you have no idea what piece goes where because you already took all the backing off. Not that this happened or anything ;)
