quilt monday

There were so many cute Valentine's Day quilts floating around the interwebs and I finally gave into temptation and made these two cuties.

First, this mini quilt.

I originally thought the cream pieces were too distracting but now I really like it. I think a quilt made in this block would be adorable. Maybe next year?

I kept the quilting simple and went with a water stitch. Quick and easy.

And how perfect is this binding?

And this little runner.

I love this so much. The colours, the quilting. It is just perfect.

Love the crosshatching!!

And I had just enough teal fabric for the binding. Meant to be!

sewing days

Finished up some more TrueNorth Bee blocks.

The left star, the fabric has quilt block names in it. Couldn't resist using it.

Now I'm all caught up :)

I finished up another one of these.

Looking forward to getting this quilted up and surprising the recipient with it.

Managed to sneak in a sewing day with a friend earlier in the week and finally got started on my 'epic' Swoon quilt.

1 block down, 19 to go!

quilt monday

Over the Christmas holidays, I made a few little gifties to send off as surprises for some friends.

The middle one was for a girl friend down in California and the bottom one for a friend in Saskatchewan.

I love how different it looks by reversing the solid background to a print.

That stripey binding #love.

And straight line quilting? Perfection

I'm thinking this last one needs to stay with me.

Someone else agrees.

looooong weekend

After an almost an entire week off school(we had school only on Wednesday), we also got to have a holiday yesterday. Now I have no idea what day it is anymore lol.

I took some time over the weekend and quilted a bunch of UFOs.

And currently have my last UFO awaiting to be quilted.
I love productivity!

snowmaggedon

It started snowing Friday morning. And it snowed. And it snowed. By Sunday at 8am, we were at just under 32inches. We've had more snow since and it has been snowing most of the night so I'm hoping we break the 100cm mark.

In between shoveling, no school and lots of baking, I got some more TrueNorth bee blocks made.

And all ready to start the next 4.
