Hard to believe that school has almost been out a month already. And I still haven't shown you the teacher gifts I made this year.
June flew by so quickly I didn't realize I hadn't made our teachers anything until the last week of school. I usually make our teachers the same end of the year gift, but since the teachers we had this year were the same as last(thanx to a teacher shuffle over the summer), I couldn't do 'the usual' this year.

So I sent B and M to do some sleuthing; what was their teachers' favorite color? A few hours in my sewing room(it literally took longer to quilt these than it does to piece them) and two more of my (current) favorite table runner pattern.

I love how effective the straight-line quilting is on this.
For teacher #2
The thread blends so well with this one that you can hardly make out the quilting on it.
Next year I only have one teacher to make a gift for; I'm already looking forward to it :)

Those are so nice....the colors are my faves and the quilting is perfect. I will have to try your idea on a project soon (well, as soon as I have a smaller project).
