sock monkeys!

You may have realized that I am a big sock monkey fan. 2 years ago I bought a sock monkey fat quarter pack. It sat in my fabric stash until the fall when I made this quilt using some of the fat quarters.

I have another baby shower this week and figured I should use up more of the fabric. The hardest part on these quilts is finding something to use as the borders since this line is long gone from the fabric stores.



I wasn't too sure of this quilt at first but I'm liking how it has turned out. I'm still not sold on the border so I made it smaller(4inches instead of 6.5)



Now fingers crossed I have enough flannel for the backing and off to work this week to get this one quilted and ready for baby. And my first finish of 2010!
