quilt monday

You had to have guessed I wouldn't have waited long to finish this fun one up.

quilted with Laurie

This is my current go to boy colour theme for quilts.

And I'm not sad about it.

This is a free pattern offered by Dear Stella. It went together so quickly.
I actually pieced the top in one day while camping in April.
You can find the pattern download here.

This tartan print flannel was the perfect match as a backing.

Love the shadows in this pictures.

I gave this quilt to my cousin for the birth of her son.
I already know I'm going to make another one and I'm thinking of all the pretty feminine fabrics I could use for a sweet baby girl one.
Stay tuned lol.

Happy Monday :)

cccccchanges

 Hello!

You'll have noticed a few changes to this space. There is more to come. The biggest change is going to be where you find this space.

In the next few weeks, this website will be moved, hopefully lol, to quiltnutcreations.ca. Not too hard to remember!

I'll be keeping quiltnutcreations.com so if you go here(there?? lol) by mistake, you'll see something that might be new to you, but also find some links back to here.

And just because it's summer, finally, here's my workspace today.

quilt monday

I am addicted to this pattern.

quilted with Yodel

This is such a fun quilt to make.
And it's a free pattern from The Blanket Statement when you sign up for Erin's newsletters.

I really love that text print, it really livens up the quilt a bit more in my opinion.

And that black binding just makes the entire quilt just pop.
Love it!

I love how you can see the quilting on the backing.
It blends in so well on the front.

Seriously, go sign up for the newsletter and get this pattern!
You won't regret it.

Happy Monday!

sew good

I've been working hard on getting caught up, or actually, stay caught up on my yearly sewing list. Do you do a list every year? I usually do one for January to July, the summer, then Christmas projects from September until the end. I try to make the summer projects all strictly quilts for me.

With that said, here's a few recent projects I've been working on.

I made up this cutie using the Wilshire Weld(currently on sale in the shop, check it out here). The pattern is Bird's Hill by The Blanket Statement. We happen to have the paper patterns available as well here.

I've made a few of Erin's patterns now and this one might be my favourite. It's a very quick make and was fun to do.

Next up, another one of these fun HST quilts.

I had cut this one all out and realized I didn't like how dark the solid was with the prints. So  I did another with Kona bone. I had the blocks all sewn together for this so it came together fairly quickly.

This one is a free pattern by DearStella.
You can find it here.

This seems to be my go to boy themed colour scheme now and I'm all here for it.
Again, this was another quick project and I am looking forward to making this pattern again and again.

I also finished up this Vintage Lace quilt.
320 2.5inch hsts. It felt like they took forever.

By the way, meet Goose. She's my shadow :)

And because I can't not be working on a project,

Let me know what you're working on in the comments!
