quilt monday

hello? is there anybody out there? that was an unplanned little(long) break. happy new year! let's all get back on track :)

Just a little something today as I need to organize my quilting pictures badly!

If this looks familiar, I'm not double posting a quilt. I made one a few months ago as a door prize for an event. A girlfriend fell in love with it so I recreated it for her.

i think my favorite part of this s the quilting. I love the straight lines.

such a fun and quick pattern to do.

and the binding was a perfect match found hidden in my stash.

thanks for looking!

life

First of, an apology.  I snuck away for 2 weeks and didn't even say anything. It was a lovely holiday, we spent lots of time doing just this

And since I've come home, it's been right back to work. Christmas is now less than 2 weeks away!

bee blocks

I got way too behind on my bee blocks so I spent some time on the weekend getting caught up.

Fun log cabins and
some Grandmother's Cross blocks ready for mailing.

And it's my turn again. I chose Scrap Jar Stars this time around.

My first blocks arrived the other day and I couldn't be happier with them.

So excited about this quilt!

quilt monday

A few months back a girlfriend asked if I could make her a Christmas tablerunner. She had seen some new ones I had finished( I still have to blog those) and wanted one of her own. She sent me the size she wanted and asked for poinsettias.

I had thought all the prints would make it too busy but it doesn't.

I was sewing it together and realized I needed a solid or two. The green  prints are from my stash and worked perfectly.

I wanted the quilting simple. I did straight lines on mine but felt a pattern would be less distracting on this. I used my Christmas favorite Holly Ribbon.

That black print is my favourite. So prettty.

Can't wait to hear what she thinks!
