spring

The boys are on spring break for the next two weeks. And we kicked it off with a trip with two other families. We ended up leaving earlier than we had planned so I had no time to preset any blog posts. Or even warn you that I was pulling a disappearing act!

Spring arrived while we were away.

I planted 100 crocus bulbs in our front grass(yes, IN the grass). The yellow came up a few weeks ago and now the purple are in glorious bloom. Where the white ones are, I don't know. Maybe I'll get another surprise next week.

I went to a Stampin Up party last week. We made this lovely spring-themed card.

I really love this embossing folder.

And I got the last few stitches in on my March Birdie block.

I changed mine up a little bit.
I just had to have shamrocks in a March block!

opps, just noticed I forgot to wash the rest of my markings out of this block.

I'll be popping in and out over the next two weeks; posts won't be appearing as usual as we enjoy spring break. I hope you are enjoying spring too!

remember my lovely rock garden? well, this is what happens when you have a bird feeder hanging above lol!

i went to our local garden store(okay i was there yesterday too lol!) picked up some plants to make mom a basket for Mother's Day(will take a picture and post it tomorrow) planted some planters for myself as well(and the look on Jim's face when i came home with a trunk full of plants. apparently that was to be my Mother's Day gift. good thing i still have empty baskets lol!)

Jim and the boys spent the day scrubbing off the deck and all the furniture than Jim got up our new gazebo. i got all the gardens weeded(and most of what used to be the rock garden) it was a very productive day

tulip festival

pefect day for it too! these are out near Agassiz, Tulip Festival. i ended up ordering some more tulip bulbs-120 of them lol!!

picture quality isn't the best-Jim and i both thought each other had grabbed the camera. good thing his cell phone has one!

almost finished

the rock garden. Jim wants to get one more BIG rock. i'm going to wait until later spring(or at least try lol) until i plant more flowers. love how it's turned out

yard work

got all these rocks yesterday and can you believe we need more?

and a huge THANK YOU to Jim's brother Peter for stopping by on their way home from Kamloops. we feed them dinner and Peter helped Jim move all the rocks :D this is as far as we got today. need more dirt and a few more BIG rocks to finish it off. will have to wait until next weekend now unless we luck out and find a store open tomorrow

it must be the sunshine

because i got the insane idea to build a rock garden in our backyard today. sadly, Jim went for the idea lol!! so off into the bush to find some rocks(i'll have to take a picture of the pickup box full of them!

i maybe biased, but we live in one of the most beautiful parts of North America!
