sew excited

I had the bestest sewing day on Saturday! I got TWO king quilts completed!

First up, I got my Luna Notte quilt. I put all the blocks together way back in May and it has sat every since on my sewing table waiting. And Saturday was the day.

Now I will admit to absolutely hating the border fabric but it was the only yardage I could find that was the amount that I needed. I'm hoping that the quilting I have planned for it will *hide* the border. We'll see.

Next I finally got the rest of the borders on my Thangles quilt. This has been sitting since March of last year waiting for me to decide what to do with it.

Well, it's finished now and now I need to decide if I am going to give it away or keep it. Think I'll decide after I get it all quilted up; more than likely it's going to go to a new home.

Wonder if I can sneak a jelly roll quilt out tonight. Hmmm, I'll keep you posted!!

Hokey Dina, Lady! That is some amazing work you've finished up this weekend! And what pattern do you use that you can "whip up" a jelly roll quilt in an evening?!?! Spill! I am working on the Thangles BOM quilt through Hamels but my blocks aren't as big as that... I find that I do like the Thangles quite a bit. They seem so homey! Well done!

Wow you've been busy. Doesn't it feel good to finish some projects? Did you make a jelly roll quilt too?

That's what you can call a very productive weekend. I love both quilts and am looking forward to seeing how you quilt a border to "hide" it.
