excitement is building

I have been way too quiet here this week. Jim is out of town; his first trip away since October; it's been weird not having him home.

On the crafting front; doing the fabric wreath last week has aggravated my carpal tunnel to the worse I have ever experienced. My wrist is actually bruising; I can't spend more than 5minutes on the computer than I'm done for a few hours. Handwriting? Don't even mention it; I can barely hold a pen. Thankfully, I'm in for a massage tomorrow and I know Sharon will fix me up pretty good. And yell at me while doing so lol.

As a result, there has been little crafting done. I have been working on more Dollie Quilts. I have 4 finished, and this one ready to put together than I can quilt them.

But all of this will soon be on the backburner. Tomorrow, the 2010 Winter Olympics kick off in Vancouver. On Sunday, we went and saw the Torch pass through our town.

It was such a fantastic, amazing thing to see.

Than, getting home Jim gets a phone call from his boss. That phone call resulted in these...

Four tickets to see Canada Women's hockey team take on Slovakia Saturday evening. We are BIG hockey fans here; this is HUGE for us. Tickets are row 6 behind the penalty box. Never ever could I have imagined getting to see an Olympic event of any kind. This is a once in a lifetime experience and we can not wait.

GO CANADA GO!

Congratulations on the hockey tickets but sorry about the pain you are experiencing. Read your blog everyday and love it all. You inspire me to want to make my own cards, for now I'll stick with sewing. Feel better.

Your poor hand! Crafters cannot afford to lose use of their hands! Hope it gets better real soon:) And as for those olympic tickets...well, if you come down with a bad case of anything I'd be happy to take them off your hands;)
