I was given some mini charm packs which was perfect since I had just seen a project online that was perfect for them.
Isn't it fun?
I wanted to keep the quilting simple and went with my favourite of straight lines.

I took part of Valentine's mini quilt swap and had to make my favourite Valentine Mini quilt.
And why make one when I can make two?
I used one of my favourite Thimbleblossom fabrics for backing.
I quilted one with a cross hatch and got lazy for the second and did just straight lines.
Finished them off with a nice red grunge fabric.

Yesterday was a holiday here. It was nice to get to spend the day relaxing and getting ready for the upcoming week. Hard to believe this is the second week of February already!
Part of my day yesterday was spent editing blog photos so sit back and enjoy some recent client quilts.

I had another very successful sewing filled weekend.
Made a trip out to a new to me fabric store and picked up these goodies.
I made not one but two of these cuties.

I also sewed together my TrueNorth bee blocks from last year. I had planned to use them as part of the backing on this years quilt but now I am having second thoughts.
And I couldn't resist sewing together some rows for my current TrueNorth quilt.
I have a few more blocks on their way to me and than I can finish this top up. It's been awhile since I've been this excited about a quilt!

I love surprises.
Especially ones when the receiver has no idea they are getting a quilt.
Sadly, the colours on the outdoor pictures of this quilt are totally out of whack.
This quilt was a gift for a young woman in our church who had just graduated from Bible school. The best part was she was totally shocked to receive it. I found that funny since two of her siblings have received quilts from me as well.
The true colours of this quilt. The border fabric was a lucky find. I mixed a few batik jelly rolls to make this quilt and had a difficult finding a border fabric that worked.
Gizmo really liked the quilt too.

I love the quilting on this, it really softened up the lines of the piecing.
I really wish I had taken more pictures of it!
