I bought a fat quarter stack at a sewing expo roughly 3 years ago. It sat for the longest time in my 'bin of guilt' waiting for me to use it. When I bought it, I had been inspired buy a modern log cabin quilt; once I brought the pattern and fabric home, it didn't do anything for me.
I was paging through a quilt magazine at work one day during my lunch break and saw a modern quilt that spoke to me. I knew I had found the project for my somewhat unloved fat quarter stack.
I love the variation in the fabrics; florals, geometrics, solids.

As you can see, I went with a red binding. I was going to do a red flange but I was too excited to just get this finished lol.
I debated too long on if I should custom quilt this but I couldn't decide how to do it and when I finally settled on an idea; I didn't have enough time.
I honestly couldn't be happier with how this turned out.
