Thanx for all the birthday wishes; had a fabulous weekend.
Earlier this year, I got intrigued by a quilt along; the Sparkle Quilt Along.
I picked up some fabric way back in February and it sat and waited. And waited. And waited a little more.
I finally sat down and started on the quilt. That's when I discovered that even though I had enough fat quarters, one of them was a white backed print and against the white background of the quilt; it wouldn't look right. This is what I came up with.
I made a smaller sparkle block using the leftover hsts from the bigger blocks. I think it worked out nicely.
My favorite part of this quilt? The quilting.
I quilted the whole quilt on the diagonal. And cross-hatched just the center square.
I also debated about the binding. I couldn't find the white I had cut so I went with the grey. Of course as soon as I sewed the grey on, I found the white ;)
Love it.

Oh, I love it, too.
Belated birthday wishes - I'm so sorry I missed it.
That's so pretty, and I love your central design element, it worked out perfectly.
