this and that

I have a few special birthdays coming up in the next month or so. I picked up some quilt kits from Connecting Threads earlier this year with these birthdays in mind. I started cutting them out on the weekend and was thrilled to discover that I was able to cut 2 kits out of 1 kit worth of fabric. So I made another little something for another birthday.

Isn't it adorable? Can't wait to finish them up. 

The Christmas rush is picking up at work. I had a wee open window one afternoon and thought I could sneak in a pumpkin wall hanging of mine. 

I got it all loaded up on my machine when I discovered something.

I had totally forgotten to machine stitch down my applique. Guess what I did yesterday on my day off?
