I love how a quilt can make a special event so much more special. I've done some special quilts in the last few weeks all celebrating wonderful events.
Anne pieced this quilt for her brother in laws 65th birthday.

She made it reversible and I'm very pleased that I lined the front and the back up absolutely perfectly.
Isabel made this beautiful quilt for her daughter's graduation. I love the brightness of the fabrics Isabel picked.

Lucy made this gorgeous quilt for her son's wedding.

I love this quilt. It was/is absolutely stunning. And the fabrics? Fabulous.
Look how the pattern shows so subtly on the quilt.
Kimberly and I have been friends for a few years now. Kim had a quilt she was finishing up for Moda Bake Shop when her sewing machine broke down so I got to quilt her project for her.
I love it just says summer.

It literally celebrates summer. Check out the link here to see the rest of the poem Kim embroidered on the quilt.
Lastly, Shirley made this hexagon quilt for her grandson's wedding.

She hand pieced the quilt and I will admit, I didn't want to longarm over it! Shirley had originally planned to handquilt the quilt but she didn't have time to finish it before the big day.
Today is our school's pie fundraiser. I think I know what's for dinner tonight!

Awesome quilts...such fun (and a challenge) to determine quilting direction. "Flower Garden" is stunning! And those pies...well, major YUM! Hugs, D
