I'm guessing that your block 8 is in the top right corner and 2nd from the left on the 2nd row? Mine is really similar to that, only my corner pieces are flipped the other way. I debated back and forth which way to put them. I might have to unpick (lol) b/c I love the way it looks as corner frame pieces.
My top is in eight pieces right now, just waiting to be finished in the next day or two. I'm excited!
