baker's one-bowl easter egg brownies

4 squares Unsweetened Chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease lightly. Set aside. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.

POUR into prepared pan.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out with fudgy crumbs. Cool in pan. Lift dessert from pan using foil handles. Cut into 24 brownies using 2-inch oval-shaped cookie cutter. Reserve trimmings for snacking or another use. Store in resealable plastic bag until ready to use.
