22 months to the day

I started this quilt January 7, 2007(follow my journey here) And today, after 3 days of quilting(roughly a total of 10 hours), I am finished.

In August, I discovered the quilt wasn't big enough(or it would be if I added 22inches of borders to each side of the quilt). So I did 12 more blocks(bringing the total to 48)

The quilt measures 111inches squared(okay it shrunk to 109x110 after the quilting). I used 15 bobbins, broke 2 needles(one punched a hole through the top and back on one needle break). I figure the cost to be around $500 in fabrics(and that doesn't include the quilting cost or batting) I used the quilting pattern Fay Feathers

It is massive(and weighs a ton!) Wonder how long it will take to get the binding on? lol

You did an amazing job on this! I am so impressed. And, of course, it looks even more stunning in person! Hey, where's the pic of you on buried under the quilt? ;-)
