quilt monday

 Hi!

I snuck away on a not so little vacation and ran out of time to schedule some posts before I left. But I'm back, over the jet lag and back at it.

I made this quilt last fall for one of our boys, I actually don't think I even showed you the quilt top while I was working on it. There is a funny story behind it. I saw the quilt posted on a quilt stores instagram and I ordered the kit. The kit came and some of the yardage didn't make sense but I started cutting away.

I quickly realized that the pictures I saw of the quilt were different from what the kit was. Annnnnnd I had ran out of fabric. So I turned to Etsy, found the out of print yardage I had cut wrong and kept going.

I knew I had to do my favourite pantograph on this, Malachite.

And finished.

The quilting is absolutely perfect.

Another funny? I got the backing on an after Christmas sale. I was so excited to find it that I forget I had to order it 4 times the amount I needed as it was sold in quarter meters lol.

So I grabbed some flannel from the shop and got it done.
Done like dinner!

Happy Monday!
