quilt monday

More fun with words.
Something fun to fill an empty space on the wall :)

I had enough leftovers from a quilt a few years ago; such a great fabric line.

Quilted it with my favourite panto for table runners, Paisley Max.

I love these colours; I should have hoarded more of this fabric!

Happy Monday!

quilt monday

This quilt.

I absolutely l-o-v-e how it turned out.
 Absolute perfection in my opinion.

I had an idea for the quilt. I wanted to keep it simple and once I saw a sneak peek of babies room, I was on my way.

The quilting softens up the hard lines.

The binding was a little darker than I had hoped but it still worked well.

And I've finally reached the end of the bolt on my favourite flannel.

Perfection.

a few more

Swoon blocks

And the sweetest little baby quilt

It feels good to be sewing again.

quilt monday

This is a long over due post. And in more ways than one ;)

I had been promising Boy4 a new bed quilt for a while. A long while. I cut it out, got sidetracked. Started some blocks, got sidetracked. I finally carved out some time and got it finished.

I had originally had a whole different colour scheme planned but he asked to go pick the fabrics and this is what he came up with.

quilted with Bright & Breezy

The quilt is a bit of an odd size. it's quite long but he wanted it a specific length so I kept making blocks until it was right :)

I love how the backing is the perfect compliment.

And he loves even more that it is finally finished.
