catch up

I got behind on my TrueNorth bee blocks yet again so I spent a few evenings getting caught up.

Both queens for October and November choose the Swoon16 block so that made it a little easier.

Such great colours.

I took inspiration from the center fabric for these two.

And managed to sneak in a quick little one of my own.

quilt monday

This is hands down one of my favourite quilt patterns. So much so that I have made 4 of these quilts this year lol.

The pattern can be found here on the Moda Bakeshop.
It goes together so quickly which makes it another plus.

I quilted it again with my current addiction Malachite.

The backing was a perfect compliment.

All the crinkly goodness <3 p="">

I know I'll be making this again and again.

It's been waaaaaaay too long since I've shown some client quilts.

this and that

Lately I've been keeping busy working my way through my precuts with a couple of sidetracks tossed in ;)

I made this with a charm pack I don't even remember buying lol.

Caught up on some TrueNorth blocks.

Boy1 asked for a quilt for his birthday, it's a wee bit late

And I started something new.

quilt monday

Doing a little two for one today :)

I love making table runners. And love them more when I can use up scraps to make them.
Case in point, these two runners.

Years ago, I made a quilt using a jelly roll. Or at least started one. I didn't like where the quilt was going so I pulled the entire thing apart. And ended up with a jelly roll worth of 2.5inch squares.

With some of the squares, I made a granny square quilt. And these leftover blocks ended up as a runner.
I actually made this runner earlier and didn't like how narrow it was so I pulled the entire thing apart, after quilting! and added borders.

My favourite part might be the pale pink for the binding.

The other quilt is a little simpler.
I just sewed up some 16patch blocks and added sashing.

The grey grunge <3 p="">

I kept the quilting simple on both and went with a stipple.

And I still had enough squares to make something else!

quilt monday

Hello! Is there still anyone out there? How was that for an unplanned break? After summer, I broke my laptop, it took forever to get the info off of it. We finally did and here I am!

In May I was queen bee for our TrueNorth blocks. I picked Gigi's Thimbles Scrap Jar Stars and waited for my blocks to start coming in.

As I put the quilt together, I couldn't stop making these blocks. They are just too fun.

I love this quilt so much. I had to quilt it with my current obsession, Malachite.

Love, love, LOVE.

How about that polka dot binding?

And the polka dot backing....perfection.

The quilt now lives in our trailer and it simply makes me happy.

I might have to make another one.
