This quilt wasn't my first, my first I actually made as a gift but this waaaaaaaay back in the early days of my quilting.
The quilt is well loved. It's 10yrs old now and we use it as our picnic/beach blanket. It's falling apart now and that makes me love it even more.
I tied the quilt(my poor fingers!) and you can see where I have stitched through to fix some of the worse holes in it
And my last quilt I made. I love this one too. Fabric is Moda's MrsJump's Scrap Bag and it is all my favorite colors
Now the first quilt is a "to be loved forever" treasure for sure. Good for you. The # of quilters who did hand piecing or quilting is pretty amazing. I fear I would have abandoned quilting if I started that way but really admire those that did

I too have quilts that have been well loved, made by other family members. Your stitches are so perfect! I have just recently begun to try to hand piece and hand quilt. I love you recent quilt. The colors are peaceful. Can't wait to see what's next!
