I adore fall. It is my favourite season. I love pumpkins. I love pumpkin bread. I love the comfort of a cozy house on a blustery day. I love the changes in the leaves. I love the geese honking overhead. I love the beauty of change. It is fall. I love it!! And right now I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. It is my new favourite thing.

I love the crispy weather and today I love that i have a front porch full of mums and so do all my neighbors (we beat them tho, we also added pansies)! Did I mention football? Super cute wallhanging!

The sky in the fall is the bluest sky of the year - I love to just lay back and look up - getting warmed by the sun when the air is crisp.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what's NOT to love about autumn?..the crisp autumn smell in the chilly air, the cozyin' up to your honey bunny on a cool night, the glorious tastes of apple and pumpkin pies, the spur-of-the-moment concoctions made with root vegetables you're not quite sure what to do with, the changing leaves, the fattenin' up for winter, the extra blankets, the hot chocolate, the last drive-in movie for the season, the warm kitchen always full of harvest aromas and fresh baked bread, the late canning season...I LOVE IT ALL!! My favorite thing has to be celebrating Thanksgiving with family. I'm so excited!

Where to begin! I love the fall foliage and the warm colors it brings to my world. The crisp cool air re-energizes me to begin the task of raking, cleaning the garden, and decorating for fall events like Halloween and Thanksgiving. Fall reminds me of days gone by when we would take my sons to pick apples and their own pumpkins. Then I would spend days making applesauce, applebutter, and apple cake. I guess I will stop here or I might write an essay.

Fall, one of my favorite seasons because I am just in love with the golds, oranges, reds that the leaves turn. In my fabric purchases I'm hard pressed to move past these colors without buying them. And the next thing is all the cute decorations bringing up the wonderful wallhanging you made. I love it. Please add my name to the drawing, I'd love to have that in my home.

ReplyDeleteI think the more appropriate question is what do I NOT love about fall! I love the colors, the pumpkins, the leaves, the harvest (possibly my favorite part), the cooler weather (ie, the lack of bugs and not needing to shave my legs every day because I'm finally wearing jeans instead of shorts) and the fact that I can stay inside and quilt instead of feeling guilty that I'm not outside getting "fresh air".

my favorite part of fall is going home to KY for Thanksgiving and jsut before we say the blessing for dinner we all go around and say what we are most thankful for that year :) A great time to reflect on just how blessed our fmaily is and how lucky we are to have one another :)

ReplyDeleteToday, as this changes daily, my favorite fall thing was driving home from the airport and seeing the colors changing on the bluffs, coming home, sitting on my deck, in October, in MN and it is 70 degrees and seeing my crimson maple have red, half green. The apples I haven't gathered and starting to fall from the tree so now I can make applesauce from them and listen to the ping of the jars. Thank you for the opportunity to enter. Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors of the leaves, the little bit of "nip" in the air, the smell of wood smoke, and bright blue skies. I love crisp apples (and apple crisp!), hot soup on the stove and quilts to huddle under at night.
